“I want to be a person with no feelings in my next birth” Dhanya told us.
There were four of us sitting in the room but nobody responded to that statement. She got irritated and shouted for attention. We all looked at her and she repeated the first sentence again. We all looked at each other and somehow smirked and nodded.
She asked Arun about what he would like to be in his next birth. He thought for a while and said “I want to be an employee who irritates his HR and his managers, to the core.
As always Maria started talking about it, even though everyone purposefully avoided asking her that question.
“I want to be a Siamese cat owned by a European family who will feed me at least 8 times a day”. I was not quite sure why she wanted to be Siamese cat and also what a Siamese cat is . So instantly checked Wikipedia and this is what I found -- The Siamese is one of the first distinctly recognized breeds of Oriental cat. The exact origins of the breed are unknown, but it is believed to be from Southeast Asia, and is said to be descended from the sacred temple cats of Siam (now Thailand).
I recommended her to try a Thai dish last week (Hot Pepper Chilly Chicken) at a restaurant and I guess she liked it. Does it have any relevance here? Not sure though.
And finally Reshmi came up with her thoughts. “I want to be me only. I like what I am now. I am contented with my present life. I have achieved everything that I wanted from my life. I am a happy, satisfied, self motivated individual who has reached a state of self actualization. I am what I am….”
Nobody replied and everyone went out of the room in silence.
